Canned Responses (Quick messages)

Quick messages or canned responses are pre-programmed responses, solutions, links, etc. that you can create inside Zoho SalesIQ and use to answer questions that are frequently asked by customers. 
They streamline support, saving time for representatives and providing quick solutions for customers, improving team performance and building trust.

How to Add Canned Responses?

  1. In your SalesIQ dashboard, navigate to Resources > Canned Replies.


  • In the Canned Replies Dashboard, click on the Add button.


  • Type the desired content in the Compose Message box. You can add dynamic text in the canned reply. When you type '%', you will be able to see all the different dynamic text that can be used in the reply and you can choose one from the list.

  • Choose the type of the canned reply - Private or Public.
    1. Public - Canned response can be accessed by all the operators of the department.
    2. Private - Canned response can be accessed only by you.
  1. Select the department you want to associate the message with. 
  2. Choose the tag in which you want to store the canned response. Tags are useful if you need to categorize the quick messages. Each canned reply can be mapped to a maximum of 3 tags.
  3. Click on Save.


How to Edit/Delete Canned Responses?

  1. If you want to edit a canned response, just click on it. After the edition, don't forget to Save the changes.
  2. Hover-over the canned response and click on the trash icon to delete it.


  1. You can also multi-select and delete canned replies in your dashboard.


How to Enable/Disable Canned Responses?

  1. Click the toggle button that appears on the right end of each article.



How to Use Canned Responses?

  1. Type "/" in the chat window, and you will see the canned responses. Select one of them and press Enter to send the message.
  2. You can also type "/" followed by your text in the chat window, or also use "/" followed by the category name.
